Deshedding Services

Are you finding your dog’s hair everywhere? A professional de-shed might be the solution!

​

This service is ideal for high-shedding, double-coated breeds who don’t need haircuts. Common breeds include Pomeranians (without haircuts) and Papillons.

Included in this service:

  • Bath (two rounds of de-shedding conditioner and deep-cleansing shampoo)

  • Blow out

  • Nail grinding

  • Ear cleaning

  • Paw hair trimming

  • Thorough brushing with a fine-tooth comb

Please note that shedding may continue for the first 48 hours after the service but will be significantly reduced for 4–6 weeks, depending on your dog’s molting schedule.

Smooth Coat Bath Services

This service is designed for dogs with naturally short and smooth coats, or hairless breeds. Common examples include chihuahuas and pugs. For dogs with longer coats, check out our Deshedding/Double Coat, Full, or Mini Groom services, based on your dog's needs and coat type.

  • Bath (two rounds of high-quality shampoo, a facial, and conditioner)

  • Blow out and brushing

  • Nail grinding

Handstripping

Handstripping is a specialized grooming technique used for wire-haired breeds or dogs needing coat maintenance without clipping. Contact us directly for details and to book this service.

Nails Only

This service focuses solely on nail care, offering trimming and grinding (if the dog tolerates the grinder).

We take a gentle approach, using lick mats and treats to calm anxious or squirmy dogs. For dogs on light grooming sedatives, we’re happy to assist and can also create a training plan. However, dogs requiring heavy sedatives or exhibiting dangerous behavior will need a referral to a veterinarian.

  • Nail trim and grinding

Owners are welcome to be present during the service, provided the dog remains calm and safe.

Additional Details:

  • Travel fees are included in the price for nails-only services

  • Discounts are available for trimming additional dogs’ nails during the same visit. Use the "Housemate Dog Nail Trim" Add-On to book this service for each extra dog.

Full Groom

A full groom is perfect for pups who grow long hair and need a haircut. Common breeds for this service include poodles, schnauzers, and doodles.

 

This service also caters to breeds requiring both de-shedding and haircuts, such as Pekingese and Pomeranians. Light outline trimming is available for double-coated clients, but they will not be shaved unless severely matted or upon request.

  • Blow out and brushing

  • Nail grinding

  • Ear cleaning

  • Full-body trim, styled based on owner request, dog behavior, and coat condition

 

For trims with body lengths over 1" (except outline trimming on double-coated dogs), a hand-scissoring service fee applies.

Mini Groom

A mini groom is designed for pups with long hair who need maintenance between full grooms. This service is ideal for dogs in longer trim styles but also suits those with shorter trims. Common breeds for this service include poodles, schnauzers, and doodles.

This is perfect for pups who have had a full groom in the past 4 weeks and need a touch-up to maintain their appearance.

  • Blow out and brushing

  • Nail grinding

  • Ear cleaning

  • Light trimming around the face, feet, and sanitary areas
